From Pioneer to Mainstream: Creating Organic Pathways and Partnerships for the Philippines
With growing interest in organic food in the Philippines, The European Organic: Nurturing Every Juan campaign, a three-year initiative led by Naturland in collaboration with the European Union, aims to increase awareness of European organic products and practices among Filipinos.
One of the campaign’s key initiatives is the annual EU Organic Day, which brings together government agencies, industry partners and media to exchange perspectives and explore how organic practices can support more sustainable food systems.
This year’s celebration, co-organized with the Department of Agriculture–National Organic Agriculture Program (DA-NOAP) and in collaboration with the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP) and Mayani, carries the theme “Creating Organic Pathways and Partnerships for the Philippines”. The theme highlights the role of collaboration among producers, businesses, and consumers in strengthening the organic sector in the Philippines.
Naturland is an international organic association and certification body, working with a global network of over 120,000 farmers, beekeepers, aquaculturists, and fishers across over 60 countries. In the Philippines, more than 3,400 smallholder farmers and 1,780 partners grow and process Naturland-certified products.
